Paper Plate Craft for Passover

This fun and easy craft is a great way to teach kids about the story of Moses. Children will create a moving scene on a paper plate, with Moses floating down the Nile River in a basket . Miriam, his sister, watches over him from a distance, hiding in the bushes.

To make this craft, you will need:

  • Paper plate
  • popsicle stick
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • A magnet
  • Green paper
  • Printable Moses and Miriam figures (included in the attached file)

Instructions:

Instructions:

  1. If you donwt have blue paper plate, Color the inside of the paper plate in blue color to represent the Nile River.
  2. Cut the Moses and Miriam figures .
  3. Cut out strips of green paper to represent the reeds.
  4. Attach a magnet to the back of the popsicle stick.

Additional ideas:

  • You can add other figures to the scene, such as Pharaoh’s daughter or the crocodiles in the river.
  • You can make a larger version of the craft on a cardboard box.
